Tactile and George Simons collaborate with Ana Pinto Da Silva on the February Pecha Kucha event. “In collaboration with ID-aah space and General Assembly (now known as Tactile), Pecha Kucha Seattle is proud to announce our 41st event — Thing-ing: Explorations in Thinking+Making. The theme for all five 2012 Design Dialogue Conferences is Evolving Design Practice. Our focus within that theme is Breaking Boundaries. Now for something completely different! Industrial designers are pushing across the boundaries of other disciplines, bringing their unique perspective, using creative thinking and user-centered approaches to solve various problems. Today, industrial design is influencing diverse areas, such as politics, interaction, music, film, fashion and business strategy. At this conference, we will explore how the role of industrial design is evolving and expanding by breaking through the traditional boundaries.
